Perspectives Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine Preparation
Tuesday, December 15, 1:00-2:00 PM ET

Overview

The approval and rollout of a COVID-19 vaccine is fast approaching and is a critical component of ensuring the return of the ‘next normal.’ Emergency use authorization by the FDA and availability of the vaccine in the U.S. is expected in the near-term per the CDC. The pace, scale, and complexity of COVID-19 vaccine rollout will be unprecedented, and states have a critical role in ensuring that a safe and effective vaccine reaches Americans.

The public sector practice at McKinsey, together with NASCA, is hosting a virtual event on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 PM ET to provide perspectives regarding COVID-19 vaccine preparation. McKinsey will share the latest thinking on timeline to Emergency Use Authorization, provide an overview of the complexities of vaccine administration, and allow states the opportunity to ask expert vaccine panelists top-of-mind questions.

Platform: Zoom

The conference is being held in a virtual format on Zoom with advanced security controls, the platform used for meetings by the Department of Homeland Security, and numerous other federal, state, and local agencies. Since we are excited to connect, we’ll be encouraging video and small group discussion as much as possible. It’s all about peer-to-peer connections. It’s all about side-by-side public-private sector problem-solving.
