NASCA Winter Thought Leadership Series:  “2020 #Unsubscribe – Did I Sign Up For This?”

Following the highly successful summer virtual series, NASCA will focus the winter professional development on looking forward to 2021.  Taking a somewhat lighthearted approach to the struggles that 2020 has brought us, the Thought Leadership Series will focus on the enormous mountains that have been moved during the global health pandemic and ensuing financial crisis.  Many State Chief Administrators may have found themselves asking, “Is this really what I signed up for?” as they were tasked with initiating often never-before attempted strategies with little to no rules on how to manage the situation.  However, states have found that they indeed have been adaptable and adept at functioning efficiently and many of the new solutions will live on into 2021 and beyond.

Join NASCA for the Winter Thought Leadership Series as we embark on a review of the lessons learned in 2020 through targeted sessions on leadership and management, result-oriented strategic planning, a study of enterprise-wide solutions and building new relationships across state government operations.  These will be accomplished through keynote addresses, state micro-reviews, panel presentations, Learning Labs with our corporate partners, and thoughtful member engagement.  Along the way we will embed fun activities for informal networking as well as honor member accomplishments with a virtual awards ceremony.

The target audience for the series is State Chief Administrators, Deputies and high-level supervisors and managers who are rising leaders in state government.  Once again, NASCA is offering the series at no cost to state government employees who register at the request of their CAO.  Corporate Council members may join in the events and can find a copy of the sponsorship prospectus here.  For any questions, please contact Pam Goins at [email protected].
