The safety of the members and attendees is of utmost importance to NASCA. NASCA will work with the Scottsdale Resort and the appropriate entities on the federal, state and local levels to ensure safety measures are being met and that our attendees feel safe.

Located in Scottsdale, The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. is approximately 16 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX).

The hotel cut-off date is August 26 to make reservations.

State Chief Administrators/Proxy, Individuals using Plus Membership Benefit:

NASCA will make your room reservations based on the dates submitted in your registration. NASCA will send out hotel confirmation emails 10 days prior to the event. The NASCA room block at the The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is valid September 18-21. Rates are extended three days pre- and post-event based on availability. If you are interested in extending your stay at the The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, the additional nights will be paid on your own.

Your $450 travel reimbursement, up to 3 hotel nights and registration to attend the Institute are included in your state dues. NASCA Institute on Leadership and Management participants will receive a special meeting rate of $205.00 per night plus taxes and fees (currently totaling $233.74 per night includes taxes and fees subject to change based on taxes and fees in effect at time of check-out). This charge is billed to the NASCA account. Please plan to present a credit card upon arrival for incidentals.

Attendees who cancel reservations less than 72 hours prior to the event will be responsible for providing NASCA with payment for confirmed hotel nights. Please notify wengle@nasca.org in writing if you would like to change or cancel your reservation as soon as possible. Additional nights cannot be guaranteed after the cutoff date, or if the room block is full.

AIRPORT & TRANSPORTATION

Airports

Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX): 16 miles, the closest to the host hotel. Information on travel from/to PHX can be found below, or on the PHX website.

Parking

Parking at the resort is complimentary

Car Rental

The PHX Rental Car Center accommodates all airport rental car companies, their rental counters and vehicles. If you are planning to rent a car at PHX, be sure to make a reservation. Vehicles are limited for walk-up customers.
The Rental Car Center is located within its own building at 1805 E. Sky Harbor Circle South (between 16th Street and 24th Street, south of Buckeye Road).
The common Rental Car Shuttle runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and makes frequent stops every few minutes at the curb on baggage claim levels of each terminal.

Taxi Service

Taxi services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Taxi terminal access is as follows:

Terminal 3: North curb, outside door # 7
Terminal 4: Level 1, North curb, outside door # 7 and south curb, outside door #6

Rates remain the same regardless of company, number of passengers and number of bags. The first mile is $5. Each additional mile is $2.30. Each hour of a traffic delay is $23. The minimum fare is $15.
